Our Story - Mic Moc Turns 8!

It's still incredible to believe that 8 years ago when my kids were still little and while freelancing as a writer (I used to work in Public Relations) I started Mic Moc online to scratch a creative itch. At the time my simplest goal was creative expression and a little pocket money to fund my craft and stationery supplies! Mic Moc kicked off selling the Travelers Co. Notebook and accessories with a small curated range of journalling stationery until 2020 when I felt I've personally outgrown the range offered in the marketplace and knew instinctively I had a dream to pivot to designing my own one-of-a-kind vintage-inspired rubber stamps and stationery.

This was February 2020, when I was inspired by my out-of-print antique books and vintage collectibles to create the world Mic Moc is today--with 100% Australian handmade quality rubber stamps and Australian printed paper goods I'd dreamed of using myself but didn’t exist yet! During Covid we were getting more retail sales and wholesale enquiries than we could handle.  Who knew that it was during a pandemic that Mic Moc began growing beyond expectations to the point that it deserved all my focus and attention to build the brand as a full-time business.

The world of Mic Moc is whimsical and childlike, a blend of vintage children’s illustrations with old advertising, ephemera, found photos and vintage bric-a-brac, each stationery product embodying the charm of a bygone era. 

Our stamps and paper goods are designed to help you create, collage, craft and journal with ease and speed rather than begin from scratch.

Today I’m so grateful we’re able to celebrate 8 Years! of bringing our Paper Hugs and retro rubber stamps to the world!
